Giovannie and The Hired Guns Chicago reviews
It was a nice show, but not for everyone
I might be biased as an avid theater fan. The show, in my opinion, was just okay, and we did not love it. I would say it is 60% true to the movie, with unnecessary things added and a lot taken out too. The cast's acting and singing were fantastic, but the story was dull. The songs were not catchy, and it wasn't as funny as it could have been. Kids around us enjoyed it, although there were many lull parts where they were clearly bored and talking during the show. We were two adults and both said we were glad we only paid for balcony seats; spending more would have been a let down for the money.
